More than 15 years ago, the Talbot County Garden Club created 25 small “Greens and Gifts” arrangements to be delivered on one day, close to the Christmas holiday, to each senior in the community who received Meals on Wheels.

 

 

This has become one of the most enduring activities for members.

 

Today, Talbot County Garden Club members provide more than 100 holiday “Greens and Gifts” arrangements to Meals on Wheels recipients in the community. The beautiful, hand made arrangements add a touch of holiday sparkle to the homes of seniors and the disabled.

Meals on Wheels, a project of the Talbot Senior Center and the Upper Shore Aging, Inc., provides nutritional home-delivered meals, at cost, regardless of income, to qualified home bound seniors (60 years or older) and the disabled.
