Conservation

The focus of the Conservation Committee is to encourage members of the Talbot County Garden Club to be good stewards in maintaining community and individual gardens. During the last two years, the Club has funded the renovation of the gardens around the Easton Post Office and contributed to the gardens around an expansion of the Rails to Trails in downtown Easton.

Members practice wise gardening practices include composting, mulching, and using natural, organic products in both home and garden. Members are encouraged to use Bay Wise practices in planting native perennials, shrubs, trees, and grasses in order to provide and sustain natural environments for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife.
